Account Opening Instructions
Important Notes for Opening an Online Account (Applicable only to local individual customers)
Required Documents for Online Registration:
Prepare a valid Vietnamese Citizen ID Card to take a direct photo during the process. A facial recognition scan will follow. Only the account holder’s face (matching the ID Card's photo) will pass verification and complete registration.
If Using Consulting Service: Enter the 4-digit ID of the advisor assisting you.
After Successful Registration:
You will receive an Online Contract via email.
Sign the contract digitally (no physical copy required).
An OTP for digital signing will be sent to your registered phone number.
Complete signing within 24 hours.
Ensure your device (laptop/mobile/tablet) has camera access.
iOS: Use Safari browser.
Android: Use Chrome browser.
If not yet completed: Restart the process with correct details.
If already activated:
Use the Maybank Trade VN app to switch advisors.
Or email to customer.MSVN@maybank.com with your request.
Full name + ID Card details.
Request to update/cancel the incorrect phone number.
Information Adjustment

Note: for requests to adjust phone number; or information adjustment of foreign investors, please come directly the nearest MSVN branches for assistance.
Set up Smart OTP PIN
Step 1: Select “Settings” from the avatar menu at the top left corner of the screen ▶ choose “Smart OTP setting.”
Step 2: Select “Set up Smart OTP.” For accounts that have not registered OTP previously, the status will show as “Not Registered.”
Step 3: Continue to follow the prompts/enter the information as requested by the system.
Step 1: Select “Change Password/PIN” from the menu at the top right corner of the screen.
Step 2: Select “Change Smart OTP PIN code” tab.
Step 3: Continue following the system’s instructions and enter the required information.Set up a new password
