Origination Role:

Develop and refine processes, regulations, and forms:

Job Purpose:

Responsible for Credit Evaluation at MSVN to perform credit evaluation functions and review / update of credit policies for MSVN. This includes but not limited to:

·         Provision of independent credit evaluation regarding Originator’s proposals, prior to submission to Approving Authorities;

·         Review and operationalization of new credit policies and procedures;

·         Provide independent advice/feedback to regional counterparts across MIBG;

Job Requirement:

Ensure enterprise wide strategic alignment between business and risk management:

·         To review, value-add, amend, ensure appropriate credit risks mitigation and balanced recommendations emplaced and provide credit comments to relevant credit committees for credit counterparty limit / client trading limit / underwriting limit transactions undertaken by Debt Capital Market (DCM), Equity Capital Market (ECM), Equity, Commodities & Derivatives Group (ECDG), Futures Trading & Stockbroking Department of MSVN.

·         To attend and verbally articulate credit views in all the Credit Underwriting Committee (CUC) to facilitate the committee’s endorsement of credit-related transactions and/proposals.

Collaborate with Business Heads to drive business growth responsibly:

·         Partner with business and other support function in development and successful introduction of new product and services by undertaking the necessary evaluation and action plans to identify, address and mitigate relevant credit risks.

·         Establish key risk monitoring process relating to credit risk and provide advisory support to other centres to achieve business objectives

Design and implement the Risk Strategy and Credit Risk Policy:

·         Formulate and review credit risk policies, procedures, risk controls as well as limits/parameters for centres.

·         Provide value-added credit advisory / guidance to Credit team on credit-related transactions and / or on matters relating to the credit and/ ESG risk policies.

·         Develop Early Warning Indicators to detect at early stage the likelihood of deterioration of asset quality/counterparties' creditworthiness.
